Our horses

The Horses

Jasper

Jasper is a retired racehorse “thoroughbred” who is the sweetest horse. He does however communicate his emotions and boundaries clearly and that is what makes him special enough to be a therapy horse. He does require a confident human to work with him, as he is our tallest equine partner and he will try and lead his person to find good grass, if allowed (work in progress).

Bailey

Bailey is a gypsy cob x quarter horse. He is a sensitive soul but boy is he brave. He will give anything a go, even if he is not sure and needs to be reassured. Bailey helps others to find their confidence while trying new and difficult tasks, role modelling that it is ok to feel unsure at first, and mistakes are definitely ok.

Bobby

Bobby is a welsh pony who is the first to meet visitors at the gate. Nothing really bothers him and he is happy to role model what taking a laid back approach to life looks like. He does enjoy his food and loves to be pampered. Bobby is gentle and kind and will usually be the first therapist  for new clients.

Frank (Noodle)

Frank (aka Noodle) is a small welsh pony who was adopted from the RSPCA. Frank’s history includes being a breeding stallion on a large property for most of his life, so being around humans is quite new to him and it will take him time to adjust to his new life. Frank is no longer a stallion, and can now be observed in the paddock doing his new job of keeping his equine pals company.

Prince Harry

Prince Harry is a therapy pony in training. He is a Shetland pony, who is only a few years old, so just a little guy with lots to learn. You can meet Prince Harry when you attend the farm, and see his progress on instagram as he starts Liberty training with his owner Bec. Such a little cutie and it is hoped that within the next 12 months he will be ready to participate in therapy sessions.

Jasper is committed to being a child safe organisation
